AN EXISTING SYSTEM / NEW POSSIBILITIES
Upgrade your solar.
Make more of your energy.
Want storage, backup or EV charging? Start with your installed equipment and what you want to change. Identify what can stay and what needs an upgrade.

See what stays. Understand what changes.
An upgrade starts with your installed equipment. The proposal identifies retained components, compatible additions and any required replacement.
This is a planning example, not a before-and-after client case.
A battery retrofit depends on inverter, battery and control compatibility. Some systems accept a supported battery; others need a different configuration or equipment replacement.
Give your upgrade
a clear purpose.
Use more of your own energy
Shift some daytime generation into the evening or improve surplus management. Start with actual generation and consumption data.
Add new capabilities
Backup for selected loads, monitoring or EV integration. Check existing capabilities before purchasing components.
THE CONFIGURATION
Compatibility first.
Equipment second.
Models, quantities and included work are recorded in your property proposal.
- 01
Existing inverter
Exact model, power, supply phases, control version and supported batteries.
- 02
Battery and communications
Voltage, BMS protocol, supported configurations and expansion limits.
- 03
Electrical design
Protection, cables, backup circuits and permitted power levels.
- 04
Monitoring and operating modes
Generation, consumption and export data, with the controls and settings required.
Keep what works.
Change what is needed.
Can the inverter stay?
That depends on its model and your goal. Compare a supported expansion with replacement, including cost and available capabilities.
What changes in backup or connection?
Review the existing design and property requirements. Agree changes to power, equipment or export mode before carrying out the work.
FROM YOUR GOAL TO HANDOVER
A clear next step.
Existing system information
Equipment labels, the electrical diagram, documents and available monitoring reports.
Upgrade options
Explain compatibility, the scope of changes and the expected outcome.
Installation and checks
Carry out agreed works and check the complete system and new operating modes.
COST & PREPARATION
Price the changes,
not a whole new system.
Compatibility, inverter replacement, storage, protection and connection changes affect cost. The proposal distinguishes retained and added equipment so the scope is clear.
What to prepare for a proposal
- Photos of inverter and battery model labels
- Panel capacity and quantity; diagram if available
- Bills and monitoring reports
- Your goal: evening use, backup or EV integration
FAQ
Questions before
your decision.
Can a battery work with any inverter?
Compatibility is not universal. Exact models, voltage and the supported control protocol are needed. We assess the configuration before recommending components.
Do the panels need replacing?
Not always. Keeping the panels depends on their condition, electrical characteristics and the proposed design. This is checked for the individual installation.
Can an existing battery be expanded?
We review the series, age, permitted module count and manufacturer requirements. Mixing batteries or adding capacity without these checks is not assumed to be supported.
Does adding a battery provide backup?
Only if the inverter, changeover design and selected circuits support backup. Your proposal identifies the loads and limits of that mode.
Can the general calculator price my upgrade?
It compares preliminary new-system and storage-capacity scenarios. An upgrade requires a separate quote that accounts for the equipment you already own.
