EV charging,
clearly explained.

From a standalone charger to a home and EV powered by sunshine.

Can I charge exclusively from surplus solar?

Yes. Our hybrid systems support this mode. For an existing installation, we check the inverter, charger and energy management before selecting a suitable configuration.

Can I install a charger without solar panels?

Yes. You can start with a grid-powered EV charger. If you plan to add solar, we account for that when choosing the charger and connection design.

Do I need a home battery?

A home battery is not essential for daytime charging from surplus solar. We size home storage separately around household demand, evening use and backup requirements.

What happens when there is not enough sunshine?

In solar-surplus-only mode, charging pauses until enough energy is available. If you need a charge by a set time, a grid-assisted mode can be included. We agree the operating modes during setup.

Can I really drive for free?

During charging exclusively from your own solar energy, you buy no grid electricity for the vehicle. The solar system, charger and installation still require investment; costs at other times depend on your charging mode.

How much does installation cost?

Cost depends on the charger, electrical supply, cable route, protection and solar integration. We prepare a proposal after assessing your property requirements.
